Chimney Question

We got our chimney lit and I am having some issues. First does the crimped end of the stove adapter get crammed all the way as far as it will go or does it sit on the lip inside the stove? Then do the screws, that go into the connector at the top of telescoping pipe, need to be long enough to go through the connector? Any help would be great! Oh, we have a Kitchen Queen 480 and are installing DVL inside and Duratech in attic. Thanks

When I installed my chimney pipe, I drove the screws through the first layer of steel, stopping against the second.

You want everything such that you can not pull it back apart once you have it together.
