What does Peacock taste like
I am not looking to offend anyone here, but we have some neighbors they "moved to the country" a few years ago... They are unsociable, overbearing, he is the rear end of a horse. They have a menagerie of animals that roam free.. What they don't have is good fences and apparently feed...

Turkey is what I've been told. They're just a big pheasant.

I guess I would be the first to guess.......tastes like chicken, I reckon. Everything else does. Sorry about your troubles. Neighbors don't seem to understand why they need to keep THEIR animals on THEIR property. I think it is a never ending battle with inconsiderate people.

They are just like pheasants. There's not much meat on a peacock, they're all feathers and little else to them.

Pretty much like pheasant, not a lot different than chicken. I didn't think it was very much like turkey. It was excellent meat.
We had one for Christmas dinner once when the teenager tom turkeys ganged up on a young one and killed it. We'd never have had it, otherwise, but I'd have no problems eating one again having tasted it.

It's in the same family as the guinea, so that's what I would expect it to taste like.

Not sure, but years ago when my horse's patoot of a neighbor had some, I was sorely tempted to find out...

I had a talk with my neighbor across the road and he seems to be keeping his hens at home now.
He complained to my sweet wife because our dog chased them home and was on their property.
Our dog would not hurt them he was just putting them back where they belonged.

They are gamey. Guinea is often used as a substitute.
