Current propane prices

Filling up the tanks for this winter. Prices seem a little high here still $1.49/gal hasn't gone below that all summer. What are your prices looking like currently?

Filled a 250 a few weeks ago for $1.55 a gallon. Only use it for the gas cook stove so it will last for at least 2 years. It's good to have the propane furnace as backup to the wood stove but I haven't turned it on for 3 years except for tests.

Our prices are about the same as Countryfied2011 but up here in WI.

Does anyone know how the propane suppliers are going to handle the lack of the Cochin pipeline this winter? I haven't heard too much about it this summer.

I filled my tank last month for $1.40 per gal. I need to see if I can pre-buy for the winter months. Last winter it went to over $6.00. I think I got gouged.

I filled up for $1.49 about a month ago. They said the price had just gone up $.08 the week before. It will last me until next summer.

Our propane place was running a July special of $1.19/gal. About halfway through they ran out and were having some sort of supply issue, not sure what. It is now a bit more. Thankfully we got in on the special!

Boy, that is a big difference from Gray Wolf. I wonder why the disparity.

I don't know about him but I own my 500 gal tank and I call around to all the suppliers and get the best price.

i think 1.64.9 for summer fill 1.79.9 contract for later in the year , all depends on how much you take at once with some sellers

it has been like that all summer i think early summer fills may have been 1.59.9 then it went up a nickle

beats the heck out of the 4+ dollars during the shortage over the winter

want it lower call your congressman tell him you don't think it is right to export American natural gas and propane it should be kept here for our use or we need an export tax that benefits the US consumer

I guess our prices aren't too bad. Yah, I was hoping with all this producing here it would be going lower. A pipe dream I guess.

I just got my tank filled for the year (we heat w/wood, propane is just for cooking, clothes dryer in the winter, and water heater in the summer) at $1.89/gal. Not as low as I was hoping for (why I time my tank to be filled mid-summer), but definitely better than the $4+ per gallon that my non-wood heating neighbors were paying in January and February!
