Easiest way to remove muskrats

They have moved into the pond once again.

The entrance to their dens, appear to be deeper, making setting conibears harder, plus I'm way short on spare time.

Any other effective methods to remove them?

Run an ad on CL looking for a local trapper, your area should have several.

if legal , set up and pop them with a .22 , most trappers will want to wait till the fall season as the pelts are worthless right now

When we had them we would quietly walk out to the pond at dawn and dusk when they are most active and pop them with the .22. It took a few weeks to get them all but it was worth the effort.

I found that a single .22 slug to the brain cavity
of one swimming, either from or towards their den . . .
worked wonders.
