Moving help

I am finally moving. All furniture , clothes etc have been in storage almost 2 years. I am scared of spiders. My new place will be sprayed b4 I move in. Will this kill any varmints I might bring in? How can I be sure I am not moving them too? Also, what is a good furniture cleaner, polish I can use? Thanks!!!

Sorry - we're never more than 3 feet from a spider. Thankfully, most spiders are beneficial. They eat other tiny critters that are harmful.

Spider spray works okay but I find it to be expensive. The best thing you can do to avoid spiders is to dust frequently. Spiders die if they can't eat. If they don't have a web, they don't eat. Dust, vacuum and sweep a lot to destroy webs (even ones you can't readily see) and you will keep the spider population at bay.

When cleaning your furniture, you want to look out for those little white fuzzy balls. Those are spider baby nests. You want to vacuum or sweep those away. Most of my hardwood furniture is finished with tung oil which is applied only every 6 months or so. In between I dust with a damp micro-fiber cloth - making sure the furniture surface is polished dry afterward.

Toss a bug bomb into the storage building before moving anything.

Like the bug bomb idea. We have the brown recluse spider around here. Very dangerous. Will bug bomb soil clothes or Uphostery?

You would probably want to wash up the clothes anyway. At least tumble in the dryer to freshen them. Spiders aren't going to survive that. If the fog was aimed right at upholstery it might stain it. Read the can.

For real wood furniture, I like Scotts Liquid Gold. There is also a lemon oil that seems to really refresh wood.

After 2 years in storage, clothes will need washing anyways. No stains I have ever seen when using in our house or sheds.

I saw a natural geographic clip a few years ago that said 95% of homes in the USA have the brown recluse. They are not aggressive so don't bite except when the are being threatened(ai about to be smashed etc).
They also stated the perfect habitat for them is book storage, dark and dry. Hope this helps some.

Yes! Thanks to all. I have set of bug bombs (2) and am waiting for air to clear.
Note:
I do not swallow spiders at nite.
I would know. To be sure, I am sleeping with a pillow over my head. lol(:
