Presto Hank Cranked Bread Mixer

I could have posted this in the Cooking forum, but htere's much more traffic here. Hope someone can help.

I've aquired a vintage Presto hand-cranked bread mixer but it didn't come with a manual. I've tried Googling but nothing came up. Does anyone have a hand cranked mixer that can give instructions on use? Maybe a recipe or two.

Btw, I'm not a baker, but I couldn't resist this.

I have one and never use it. I find it easier to just mix it by hand but any bread recipe should work in it.

I knew a Hank Presto once lol.

I bought my X a hand crank dough mixer once, in the hopes it would get her to make more bread. Didn't work. It has a wood tub that would hold around 2 to 3 gal water. IF there were any instructions in/with it, There long since gone. Still got it. She wouldn't take that for the world when she left.

Sally, here is a link to a forum where they have posted pics of various dough mixers like you are talking about, and there are a lot of links, I didn't look at any of them, but this might give you some direction.

I think Bill needs to keep that. If he ever finds a woman that is willing and knows how to us it would be a keeper.

As for the OP. Is this what you're looking for:

White Wolf, I've been trying for 2 days to download that pdf file and it gets stuck and won't finish. But, that looks like what I need.

Sally, I downloaded it with no problem. If you want to PM me your email address, I'd be glad to mail it to you. Maybe it will open for you that way. Just let me know.

Thanks WW! I have one of those, but have lost the directions somewhere along the way. I'm loaning it to my son (his first try at making bread), so written instructions will come in handy.

Try this link at Backwoods Home Magazine. Not a Presto, but it gives directions and a recipe.
