Magazine subscriptions and Lottery tickets!!

I subscribe to many different magazines, various gun magazines, reloading magazines, farm magazines, motorcycle magazines, mule magazines, etc. What can I say I have varied interest?? I am not vary good at keeping up with renewals and sometimes my subscriptions run out before I realize it. Normally the magazine co. will send me a notice in the mail reminding me it is time to renew. Now most want an email address and they send notices there also. No big deal it is sometimes needed.
Recently I let a subscription run out and I intended to renew it, but I have been busy and just have not got it done. Now I am considering not renewing. What am I saying?, I have decided I am NOT going to renew!!. Why?? Every couple of days they email me a new offer. "Renew Now and you could WIN a new ###" (whatever it is) No, "we are sorry to loose you as a customer", no, "is there a reason you did not renew", no "hey you are missing valuable information". None of that. Just trying to sell me another lottery ticket to WIN their newest BIG thing. Now if this is for everyone, ok, just free give away's amongst members, but it is not. The offers say "Only for new subscriptions" Basically they are just trying to sell me a lottery ticket.
Anybody else bothered by this type of marketing.

marketing in general is aggravating if you think too much on it. I became hot when the magazine automatically re-uped my subscription without letting me know.

I quit subscribing to magazines several years ago . Most are full of ad's with maybe 1 or 2 articles worth reading . The internet is full of free information on any subject you can think of .
