Parasite life cycles

Good morning,
I'm reading a lot about rotational grazing and one ifmthe benifit sis moving the livestock before the stage the Parasite is looking for a host. What can you tell me about the parasites? Do you just move your livestock to a paddock next to the one you are using or can parasites travel from paddock to paddock or from a neighboring farm?
Thanks in advance

Here's a good page.

This article addresses the time frame on rotation and the possible increase of parasite problems if you rotate pastures too quickly.
