Insects for food and feed journal

Here's an interesting new journal.

If we keep reproducing like insects pretty soon we'll all be depending on them for our food.

Not here in the US.
Our population keeps growing only due to legal and illegal immigration. Now if we could get that under control....
Oh, wait - didn't I read yesterday that our esteemed president says he'll have new immigration rules in place for us within a couple weeks.

I meant the worldwide population growth. It doesn't matter what country is experiencing growth because it affects us all.

Long ago I read a study, more fiction than fact but based on loose study of things, of what population the world could support.

I can't even remember the number, but they assumed a certain size of room for each of us, and something like 10 stories above ground and 5 stories below ground, with the building covering most of the livable land mass of the globe. They worked out we have so much known iron and cement and so on and could get to there. And we could farm on the roof, and push fishing to so and so much. I would presume some insect protein was involved in the calculations.....

Was so long ago and so fanciful really that I can't remember any details of it, but it was one of those things that caught my eye, interesting time filler.

Sounds like an article that an engineer would write.
