Online Permaculture Class Starting

I just wanted to make sure anyone who is interested knows that the registration date for Geoff Lawton's online Permaculture Class starts midnight March 29, 2014 Central US time. Registration will be open for up to a week after that date. The course runs for 12 weeks and students will be given an extra month after 12 weeks to submit their design proposal to be eligible for his PDC Certificate. The certificate is issued by Permaculture founder Bill Mollison and will be sent by mail, signed, dated and numbered.

I took the first online class and loved it! It's a great deal and you don't have to take off 3 weeks to go to a class or pay for travel expenses and you get a Permaculture Certificate! You even get a set of DVD's that show the whole class so you can re-watch it over and over. Seriously, if your remotely interested check this out! Oh, and the last class sold out in a week so don't procrastinate.

(ps. no I'm not getting paid for this. I loved the class that much!)

Wow, I keep trying to wrap my mind around permaculture, but I might not be that smart.
So far I understand-
Grow what grows here.
Zones.
Pay attention to your microclimates and observe.
The rest seems to involve heavy equipment?
I have read, or tried to, a couple of the big important books.
A lot of it went right over my head, to be honest.
Oh, and plant guilds! I get that part!
I'm afraid I wouldn't be any the wiser after a course, me.
Is it just me or is it really incredibly complicated?

SugarMag- I'm no genius either, but if you read and study enough you get it. Its not hard, just a lot of info. Plus the best part of this is you can watch the dvd's over and over till you get it and you can ask Geoff and the other students questions. They have a forum where they share info and chat too. There's also a Facebook page for students to connect.

The only part that might involve heavy equipment is building the swales and ponds, which you could do by hand but holy cow what a lot of work that would be!

Some of those big books (Permaculture: A Designers' Manual) seriously hurt my brain! Definitely college level reading! There are plenty out there that are easier reads. You can work up to the big one.

ET1 SS- I think the price is $997.00 but I'll have to double check that. That is actually a great price for what you get and cheaper than most PDC's!
edcopp and ET1 SS like this.

Kewl, some of my customers are a Permie group. My Dw is taking a PDC course online now.

I just did not see how much the price was from that link.
