Advice for a Potential Lot

All,
I am seeking some advice on a potential homestead lot we are looking into and thinking about buying. The main concern that I have is that the majority of the area where I am thinking I would like to grow my tree, plants, gardens, crops etc... is located on a slope that faces NW. The slope is not extreme, about a 30 ft drop over about 250ft (comes out just shy of 7 degrees on average) There will also be a part of the strip running behind that house that will see partial shade (from the house) throughout the day. I am wondering if this will cause any issues trying to grow various plants of if the slope of the land is small enough that I should not be worried about it. I have attached some pictures to help. The first image shows an areal view of the house and land with a blue border around the areas I would like to use for planting, and a red border around the areas I would like to use for pasture/animals. The next shows the contour lines for the property (in 5ft increments). Finally I do have a Google maps picture looking from west to east trying to show the relative slope of the ground. Any thought that you have are welcome.

Thanks
William

Location? Elevation? Prevailing winds? Ag climate zone? Average rainfall?

I'm in the same zone and our orchard and garden also faces NW. Other than having to remove trees that shaded the garden, we've had no problems growing vegetables, berries, and fruit trees on a similar slope. Looks good to me and I envy your pasture potential.

Seems like the logical way to split that property up, one has to work with what one has.

Not sure how it relates to your region, but planting an orchard on a north facing slope in areas with late spring frosts should force later flowering, and less frost damage.

Thanks for those who posted replies, we decided to go ahead and make the offer on the property this weekend. The sellers seem to be a bit high on what they are looking for, but here's to hoping negotiations go well!
