Anybody going hunting tomorrow 2/2?

If we shoot those groundhogs before they see their shadows will spring come sooner? After a week plus of below freezing temps I'm about sick of this winter.

Haven't seen one for about 2 years...that's when I took the last one out. I miss them...great targets.
We hit 42 today which seemed balmy after 2 weeks of single digits and below.

The one out east just saw his shadow, was raining all morning and the sky cleared for a bit as they pulled him out.

Doesn't much matter, up here we have winter until April anyhow.....

I think its a conspiracy. That groundhog looks awfully primped, how he could have seen his shadow before the sun came out smacks of a buy out.

Our ground hog holes are all iced over. That should take care of it. Its tough walking out there. The groundhogs should just stay inside.

Our Tuesday forecast calls for heavy snow. Personally, I'll take moisture in any form. Winter snow refills all of my little cow drinking holes.

Winters like this are why we built the new house with only one bedroom. All of the family who want to escape to the desert here in the winter have to stay in motels. Strangely, we never hear from them in the summer.....Joe

Update on central Ohio conditions that morning, the ground was wet when I got up around 9 am so it had to have rained. Sky was still dark and cloudy and stayed that way all day. If any groundhogs around here say their shadow it was because someone was holding a flood light on them.

Weather was nice and nearly tropical for a few hours since then but today is cold and below freezing again.

I would come visit joebill but tires are flat on the camper and I have to work.
