Business on the web

What do people here have to say about their experiences of doing business on the web both good and bad with who or what sites?

Thanks in advance.

By "doing business", do you mean purchasing on the web or selling on the web?

It really depends upon the companies that you are dealing with. I've been buying things online for a looong time. Most of the interactions have been good ones, though there have been a few situations that weren't so good.

I've purchased primarily on ebay since getting back into the swing of things. No bad transactions and I've saved a lot off retail prices and taxes. Just got a new Janoul incubator for my b-day this morning for $30 less than retail with no taxes and no shipping. Hatching eggs on ebay (whatver happended to eggbid?) are half of what hatcheries charge. I credit ebay with helping me make ends meet and would like to start selling there as well. Like it way more than Craigslist and really like the rating system so a potential buyer can see the seller's reputation for honesty up front.

There are a lot of things I want that aren't available locally, so I've done quite a lot of online purchases, eBay and Amazon the most numerous individual purchases and have had no major issues at all. Art supplies, Dick Blick primarily, again, nothing but good things to say. Items from several equine supply places, farm and shop supplies from Tek Supply.

Generally speaking, I've had fewer problems with online purchases than trying to buy/find items locally.
