Hi, Sorry about your troubles. Is it new? I've had mac and ipod (not ipad) for years now and safari has been a good browser. No crashes. On my ipod it stops working when the battery gets low, without saying the battery is getting low. It will just return to home screen. Apple also has a lot of help communities online. You can type what is happening on the google search engine and there is a good chance others have posted about it. Best wishes. I almost got an ipad last time I needed to replace a laptop but went with mac air as I was supposed to be doing a lot of traveling for the next three years. No regrets for me ever on a mac.

I also have a iMac and I absolutely love Safari. No troubles in the 6 years I have been with this Mac.

I like Chrome for the iPad. Plus it gives google a front-row seat for what I'm up to.

Try restarting your device to clear the memory.

Depends on the iOS version you have.

Close the program - on mine swip 4 fingers upward and you get a row of open programs across the bottom.

Hold down on one, and they all will start wiggling in the row. Hit the minus sign on each to close the program.

And, you need to shut down the iPad every now and then. Putting it to sleep doesn't do it.

Need to hold down the upper left side button, will get a slider to shut it down cold. This allows all the stuff to close out, glitches to fade away.

This helps 90% of all problems.

Paul

I second the idea of using Chrome on the iPad instead of Safari.

Never use Chrome. It eventually causes major issues, my computer was fried by chrome. Google iMac and chrome issue. the Mac store said they have so many people who ended up with issues on their devices from chrome.

I sure would never use someone else's browser on a Apple Product. I would stick to What Apple is known for good working programs especially their browser, Safari.
I have had too many friends that had so much trouble with Chrome on their PC's never would I put such a thing on my iMac or if I had one, a iPad.

to each their own of course.

I have been using chrome on all the apple products in our home for years with no problems. THis includes ipod touches, ipads, and mac books.
