You might just try the cars+trucks section. More people view that section so you'll probably have better luck.

Just stick it under General, that's the only place I look anymore when I read it.

I would put it under General, Farm+Garden and Car+Truck. Include a few pictures and renew every time its allowed-----but at different times of the day so you can catch different viewers.

I would put it under car+truck/by-owner.

Truck

I think it's important to post a pic. I won't look at posts that don't have pics.

Put it everywhere it might apply, after all it's free. CL won't let you post identical ads in multiple places so change the title and post a bit for every location. Repost every few days.

Don't forget to put an ad in other cities near you. I would try any city within 100 miles (at least) that has a Craigslist. Folks will travel to buy an antique vehicle. And yes yes yes to the pictures. One for each side and one for the interior.

Serious buyers will be using SearchTempest to look for unusual, worthwhile items.

So don't waste everyone's time with multiple ads, every couple days. That is just annoying.

Do have a price, do have a picture, and spell everything right! People will be searching by word, so don't say;

I have this ol truch 4 sale. (With only a picture....)

No one will find it.

You want to say:

I have this 1943 Cheverolet half ton pickup truck for sale. It is an antique, engine is free but it doesn't run. The sheet metal is rusty but no holes. This Chevy is in average condition. It has a 4 cylinder engine and manual transmission. It is 2wd.

I Am asking $xxxx dollars for it.

Now, if people search for:

Old pickup

Or antique truck

Or 1942 Cheverolet

Or Chevy truck

Or other combinations of those words, see how I have them covered so they find what they are looking for?

Think a little on what people will use for a search, and work that into your description. Spend time on your ad, don't waste time trying to flood everyone with a bad ad......

Multiple Ads can and do get flagged also.

Or Individual Ads for a gazzillion Items that are obviously from the same person.

Some one did that the other Day, Well tempted I did not flag any but they all seem to be gone now so someone did.
