Found some photos of "As Is"

Here are some "before" pics for your reference. The 1st is the shop on top of the 32 x 32 concrete pad. the 2nd is where the pond is now. the 3rd is the inside of one of the shops. the 4th is the barn, 1 of 3 outbuildings i had torn down. there were the remains of 4 trailers left to rot beneath all that overgrowth, some of which is shown in the 5th.

I still think you should keep the property and clean it up as you get to it.

You could keep livestock in some of those areas - just fence off the good areas. For the full of brush and briars areas - fence those off and let cheap goats browse the areas so you can get in them to clean them up from debris.

Buying "as is" is EXACTLY what it means. If you buy a car "as is" from a car dealer and 1 month later, the engine locks up on it, you have no recourse unless some kind of warranty came with the car. "As is" means as is.

yeah, i get it. i'm going to put those words in my contract because i honestly don't know the extent of the "is" i'm not going to hide it.

a small jersey or a nubian or two is what i planned on bringing in this month. i had decided on nubians but then remembered the fencing issues with them and a few other drawbacks to goats and thought about a small jersey.... that is about as far away as things can get in terms of doability right now.

I agree wth others who say fence it in and get goats in there! goats, being the most picky eaters of the animal kingdom, will not eat the trash, but they will clean out the undergrowth enough that you can pick it up. think of the since of accomplishment you'll get when done! and the work-out... =)

#2 above is the pond, the dead tree was removed so that air pockets wouldn't form and drain away water form pond
#3 is gone - that was inside of #1 shop
#4 above is barn
#5 above is area between front and back of property that is best represented by the a photo which shows the cabin at a distance.

'tis easy to get tired and overwhelmed ... but shah dang it, ye have made excellent headway! I fear that regret and remorse may be in your future as you reflect on this later

Still, Best of luck in finding/moving on to happyland.
