Wood splitting

Did not know what to put this under. To anyone that splits wood with a hand maul or hand splitter a little trick that really is a big help. Just dip the splitting edge in some oil. or I use water and oil or give it a shot of anything that will reduce the friction. The best is a silicone spray ,but that is costly. Redip after 4 or5 whacks. Give it a try.

I an interested in finding or making wedges to make some bow staves. I will start a new thread to avoid messing up this one.

If they're big enough to carry the wood, they're big enough to run the splitter.

Want an easy way to do something? Ask a lazy man.
