Cougar!
I just wanted to share the most incredible sight tonight. A large cougar bounding down an embankment and across the road about 50 feet in front of my car. Obviously in pursuit of some unfortunate animal. What an amazing, powerful animal! Makes me so happy I live in this beautiful land of Oregon.
We have many of them here, I've heard them at night several times and seen lots of scat and tracks. But in the flesh have only ever seen a flash of a rump and tail on a trail.
