Anyone own a Fisher & Paykel Fridge?

Going to look at one tonight for sale in the area, and from the reviews I'm reading, I can't tell if just people with problems complain more than people who got a good one, or if they are something to avoid..

Thanks in advance if you can tell me about your experience with one.

I hadn't either... I like the design and space of the one we're going to look at..

Seems some Lowe's may sell them.. not sure who else does..

I am reading either really bad, or really good reviews.. not much down the middle.. .Seems they are hit or miss on quality control..

Seems most review sites are people complaining . I guess it stands to reason that people who was happy with theirs wouldn't likely be on the site at all .

I don't know about their fridge quality, but they made a drawer dishwasher the wife wanted badly until she read nothing but horrible reviews.

Went and saw it... It was nice, but the freezer had drawers that weren't really made to be taken out, so it really reduced the usable space in the freezer.. That was the real deal killer for us.. .The fridge part was nice with a lot of storage, but what good is that if you got so little for a freezer.. We passed... big chunks of meat wouldn't fit in it..

The fact it's not well known is what bothered me too, as in if you need parts, it sounds like good luck with that.

I did find a set of Kelvinators... one is a fridge the other is a freezer, but they are commercial, so I'd be they made a lot of noise..

Oh well.. we'll just keep shopping..

We have a F&P washing machine. If it were a car we would have invoked the lemon law on it. I won't buy the brand again.

If their dishwashers are anything to go by you did. We install F&P dishwashers for Lowes and the guys do not like them. They made me get a Bosch when I got a new one.

Probably a good pass. We had one in our old house as it fit well in a small space. But we spent one whole summer with food in coolers due to a intermittent circuit board issue that no one could figure out.

But we also have a FP washer and dryer that have been fantastic and no issues. Better knock on wood as the house is now a rental....

They sponsor some cooking show I watch occasionally on PBS...I always assumed they were top of the line. Probably won't be buying any new appliances, but good to know they're not so great if I do need to buy something.

I've seen some of their high end stuff for sale at a particular store I stop in at a few times a year. Wonderful eye candy. But I'm not rich enough to own most of that stuff anyway. Seriously, I think we saw a "commercial" range that was something like $13,000. No, that's not a typo. Thirteen THOUSAND dollars, for a kitchen stove. OUCH!! Oh, it looked like it could be used in a restaurant kitchen all day every day for decades and hold up. But for 13 grand, I think I could just about build the shell of a whole house.

There are other good choices out there for me.

I have the two drawer dishwasher by Fisher and Paykel and I love it. We've had it for 7 years and so far not one problem.
