When Federal governments get sweeping control over anything the country will become a dictatorship! Canada has the same problem in many aspects. The national government has to much say over the provincial governments. States and provinces should have their own government over most issues.

King has always been a strong federalist (state's rights proponent). I found it curious that he would champion giving Washington regulatory power over the states. This is his explanation:
"I am pleased that the Committee passed my amendment, the Protect Interstate Commerce Act (PICA) because states are entering into trade protectionism by requiring cost prohibitive production methods in other states," said King. "PICA blocks states from requiring 'free range' eggs or 'free range' pork but covers all agriculture products listed in section 206 of the Agriculture Marketing Act of 1946. By 2014 California will require only 'free range' eggs be sold and the impact of their large market would compel producers in every other state to invest billions to meet the California standard of "means of production." PICA will ensure that radical organizations like the Humane Society of the United States (HSUS) and PETA are prohibited from establishing a patchwork of restrictive state laws aimed at slowly suffocating production agriculture out of existence."
Although his intentions may be good, I don't agree in giving the feds any more power than they have already seized.

I agree. Would be interesting to see what would happen in CA with such a restricted market.

And when you go into a Home Improvement Store to buy a toilet it says toilets on the sign, but plumbers when they order a "toilet" from a plumbing supply house will use the name "Water Closet" for them and the same thing for grease fittings LOL

Hmmm not necessarily, it can.
English[edit]
Wikipedia has an article on:
Flush toilet
WC
Noun[edit]
water closet (plural water closets) (abbreviation WC)
(chiefly UK) a flush toilet, or the room, in a public place, containing one [quotations ▼]

Wiki is not a reliable source, but you know that!
A typical Water Closet is a room with a toilet AND sink, so one would not go to Home Depot and ask for a Water Closet if all they wanted was a toilet.

Can be used for both. Plumbers order water closets, my family has been in plumbing since the mid 1800's and still is.

water closet noun
: a room containing a toilet
Full Definition of WATER CLOSET
1 .: a compartment or room with a toilet
2 : a toilet bowl and its accessories
See water closet defined for English-language learners »
See water closet defined for kids »
When plumbers draw up a blue print for a building they will use the term water closet goes here with a arrow pointing to a location. not just the entire bathroom.

History of Plumbing in America
Quote:
A Copper lined closet, with oak high tank and seat.
Engineer Julius W. Adams provided the framework upon which modern sewerage is based. In 1857, Adams was commissioned to sewer the city of Brooklyn, which then covered 20 square miles. There was no data available in proportioning sewers for the needs of the people. Yet, working from scratch, Adams developed guidelines and designs that made modern sanitary engineering possible. More importantly, he published the results. By the end of the century, how-to textbooks would be available for towns and cities to use all across the country.
The pieces to the puzzle of good plumbing had finally come together --- proper venting, waterworks and sewers brought the closet indoors to stay. American potters duplicated the successes of their English predecessors, and then some. Finally, the mass production line brought down the cost of production of fixtures, fittings and valves, making them affordable and available from the rich on down. With the final correlation between disease and waterborne bacteria, the impetus to plumbing was complete.
The Closet Evolves: The development of the water closet in the United States parallels the experience of England where the modern closet was invented. But until the development of a one-piece toilet with no metal parts, the closet would continue to be a source a contamination and a health hazard.
