Apple Quality?

Don't know if I'm losin' my taste buds in my old age or what, but our orchard apples seem to taste awfully bland this year. I wonder if all the rain we've had has anything to do with it? Anyone else experiencing this or is it just me

Could be either, I don't know how old you are but some people do lose some of their sense of taste as they get older. I've also hear that dry weather makes for sweeter grapes to it could effect apples too. Have you asked anyone else who is familiar with your previous apples?

Sometimes the cool weather will help develop the sugar in the apples. So you might hold off on harvesting some to see if that helps

Some Apples just have more flavor.

William's Pride is a good one. DH loves Akane, Grannysmith and so on.
