As if the yellowjackets weren't bad enough

this year...today was the start of stink bug season already. Ugh... I hate those things.
So now we have both together. Not fair.

Aren't we lucky! I think this might be a better time to go south--in winter there are no bugs!

I almost ate one TWICE about a week ago. For some reason I happened to look at my sandwich just before taking a bite and saw the yellow jacket. Most of the time I didn't look and just got lucky.

No yellow jackets or stink bugs, but we are literally drowning in Love Bugs. The house is covered, the cars are a mess. They come in the house on your clothes, they are inside the cars. No one has ever seen them this bad. Anywhere there is a spider web, the web is sagging udder the weight of the bugs. We don't sweep the porches, we use the blower to get rid of the dead ones.

Gnats.
It is the year of the gnat for sure.
My daughter 'vined' a guy at the grocery store "vacuuming" the fruit with a shop vac because the stores are FULL of them.
They have been horrible and impossible to eliminate all summer...
