Young fruit tree... but what is it?

The previous owners of our land planted three fruit trees in a row. Two are apple trees and have started bearing fruit. The third hasn't flowered, hence no fruit. I think maybe it might be a pear tree. Is there any secret to figuring it out? The leaves are slightly serrated but not as much as the other two apple trees. If it is a pear tree then I need to plant another one close by, correct? Thanks for your help.

If it is a pear; many pears are self-fertile, so no need for a second one. Love the blooming picture.

Let's see, I guess the pear trees are to the left in the photos?

I will take a photo tomorrow and try to post it. Is that as simple as clicking the button that says Insert Image in the reply box?
