Compost Question

I got a friend that drives/owns his own dump truck. I asked him to get me a price on some good compost to add to my garden. He just called me and said he could get me about 16 to 18 yrds delivered for about $200, BUT he said it is made from the bottom cleanings of the sewerage pond. He said alot of Nurseries us it for their plants.

I am Thinking I do not think I want to use it on my garden----Do I?

I wouldn't- depending upon where you are, could have heavy metals in it. JMO though- I have no personal experience.

No, No, No. Do not put it on a garden. I wouldn't use it anywhere on my properties but for sure not on a garden. I have seen it, you do not want to know what is in there. Many nastier things than meds, but meds is more than enough....James

I have read a couple articles about the drug content of municipal sewage sludge.

I say 'no'

In addition to the "nasties", there are often trillions of weed seeds! Happened to a friend here who had to abandon that garden spot permanantly.
