Glassware and iron/sulpher in well water

Hi gang! Happy to be on again! My glassware(I LOVE clear glass coffee cups and plates etc) is getting yellow instead of clear from the well water. So, please tell me how I clean this iron/sulpher stuff off if you would.

Thanks so much! LQ

YAY!

Where ya been?

Baking soda can help, and it's very inexpensive (read: "cheap") too.

Been there done that with Oregon water that was off the iron content charts. I ended up using some glasses for everyday and keeping the nice ones nice(only used occasionally, or for company). The everyday ones just got yellow. It saved me a lot of time and frustration just letting the everyday ones get yellow...yeah those things work, but you really have to scrub and keep on top of it. The time wasn't worth it to me.

This was with water through the softener btw. White clothes? forget it! use rainwater...

Nick makes his own version of a beer brewing wash that takes iron/sulfur/lime off of just about anything. He mixes 3 parts OxyClean (unscented) with TSP substitute.

It even takes rabbit urine stains out of their white porcelain water dishes.
