Not if I can help it. I don't buy tomatoes from the store. I also chose to not buy much of any imported food stuffs.

That stuff is GOOD, ain't it?

And heck, it contains no artificial ingredients, sweeteners, or preservatives. Heck, it's BETTER for you than most of the American variants.

Same with a lot of those ethnic brands. Really good, high quality stuff.

I think it's hilarious when Americans pretend our food is healthier and safer than that produced in other countries. Now I will grant you that some of our imports from other countries are worse, but even in China, the government has EXECUTED some of the CEO's of food countries where the food has been found to be unsafe.

When was the last time you heard of an American CEO being punished for producing unhealthy food?

Arsenic is OK, that is in the water naturally.

Anyway, order yourself some New Mexico salsas & sauces. Much better for you.

I eat food from all counties south of us (Mexico, Brazil, Chile and the others) all of Europe and Australia. The other countries I generally avoid, but when actually visiting there have eaten the food with few problems.

I don't have any specific recommendations. The best chile is fresh roasted at the grocery store, which you then take home and skin, freeze and make green chile chicken enchiladas..

Well, I don't make them, but I sure do eat them!

Ever had mole sauce? That's some good stuff on chicken too!

(Somehow I don't think this thread drifted in the way the poster intended.)

But for sure we know what US food has been sprayed with.
Most bees will die in few days next to a strawberry field.
Pesticide, fungisides are found in orchards 7 yrs after being used.
Mexico has a more natural agriculture.

I like UPS.

Today I got STEEL and I squealed like an excited little girl as I ran carrying it back to the workshop.

Growing up in Idaho I was told that if Potatoes grown in the US today were introduced as a new product the FDA would not allow them. Excessive parts per million of arsenic. The proposed dtandard of lead clean up by the EPA a few years back was 5 parts per billion. Then they found out that there was no soil in th eUS that met that standard and cleanups would never end. Just governments being governments.
