Got Hammered

Boy - I had a rough week - health wise - got up 5 on tuesday - gave my daughter a bath - she is disabled- dressed her - had breadfast - then headed to a local hospital for her doctor's appointment - that night just before I went to bed I began to feel real real tired - I don't ever remember this tired my whole life - could hardly make my way to bed - the next day I wake up with a headache and still felt fired - not as bad as the night before - On thursday my daughter has another doctor's appointment so I go through the same routine and get her to the doc office - on way home I can hardly keep my eyes open - I get home put my daughter in a lazy boy and lay down - I sleep for close to 5 hours

That night I get the chills - start shaking like crazy - I take my temp and it is 103.1 - I call my other daughter - who is a nurse - she tells me I need to get the fever down - I took 2 extra strength tylenol and then 2 more 4 hours later - I go to bed - in the middle of the night I wake up - I'm soaked - you would swear that someone poured a bucket of water over me and the bed -

I get up and change the bed and my clothes - my temp is 95.9 - the next morning my temperature starts going up again - 101.7 - I start getting the chills again - I go see doctor - she takes a urine sample, some blood for a blood count - for lyme disease and liver function - haven't heard anything from her yet - she gives me a perscription for doxycycline - I took 2 yesterday and 2 today - thank God today is the first day my temp is normal and I feel like I am on the road to recovering - boy I was down for the count of eight - until we get the blood test results I won't know for sure what hit me - I think I just got too run down and something got a hold of me -

Hope you feel better and the antibiotics do the trick. It is good that they gave you a med for the Lyme's disease right away. Lymes, if untreated, can get really ugly.

Yikes, to get sick that quickly and to be a caregiver on top of it. Praying it was nothing more than a nasty bug that rolled through and keeps on rolling out. Hope you're 100% quickly.
