Maybe here?

Posted this in the gardening forum and got no responses... Hope I will finds someone here that might have some experience:

Natchez Blackberries.
With all this talk about blackberries, I got to thinking about ordering an earlier variety than my Triple Crown.

This year I got a few Navaho (yes, the variety is properly spelled "Navaho" even though it was probably a mistake and should have been "Navajo"). I have found out recently that they are very susceptible to orange rust. So I thought I would look into another early variety to compliment my TC.

The best fit looks like "Natchez"

I was wondering if anyone has any experience with them and what they thought about the variety.

Thank you for the information, WHH

I am surprised they would say that about the Triple Crown, mine are growing about like multiflor-rose (except without the thorns) Hope they don't spread from seed!

They probably meant the berries are too fragile for packing and shipping. The plants themselves are very durable.
Wind in Her Hair likes this.

Haven't grown Natchez myself, but Raintree Nursery lists it as disease resistant. No specifics wrt rust, but you could call and ask...
