The most used piece of equipment on my place

Is an extra large plastic dog crate/kennel/box/whatever you want to call them.

I have kept one for years since I hunt and hauled Labradors or Brittanys or English Pointers or whatever dog.

But, I have hauled turkeys, chickens, ducks, pigs, goats, sheep, rabbits and I am sure I am missing something, in the one I have right now. Yesterday we drove to Ft Worth and brought aback a pair of Berkshire weaner pigs in it and today we hauled a La Mancha doe kid to a gal that was trading us a ewe lamb , that we hauled back in the same crate.

This is the second one I have had in the last 15 years. It is as handy as pockets on a shirt.

Agreed. I have hauled many, many animals in mine. From chicks to piglets! I think there are 4 in varying sizes here right now.

We use our dog crates to transport chickens then scrub it down and give it back to the dog

I'm with you, Bobby. Mine are the plastic coated wire crates, though. I've hauled everything you have in mine with the addition of cats.
Hardest workin' piece of 'equipment' here, that's for sure!

I'm going to have to say nothing.. because I sure am having to figure out how to get a whole lot of something done with a lot of nothing.. .

It has become a toss up though.... my chain saw, or my tractor.. both have been being put to too much use lately..

It is a toss-up between my Kubota HST w/ FEL and our Kawasaki 4x4 Mule. Both are in constant use, it seems.

As for non-equipment, I find that my two teenage kids, when equipped with a good attitude and the right shoes, are hands-down the most useful thing to have around on the ranch. I have no idea how I am going to replace them in a few short years.
