Propane Tank Refill

I want to refill my 20 lb propane tank from a larger propane tank - maybe a 30 or 40 lb - does anyone know where I can buy a hose and the necessary adaptors to do this - I have an adaptor to fill small 1 lb tanks but I want to also fill the 20 lb tanks too - thanks

A 40 or 100 pound propane tank doesn't have the wet leg (dip tube) of a big tank. In order to transfer liquid propane you would have to hook them together with the proper hose and turn the bigger one upside down to get the liquid propane out. I bet this is what you are doing to fill the small 1 pound tanks now.

Here is a recent thread that shows how to fill a 20 pounder from a big tank. I don't know of anyone filling from a 40 or 100 pound tank.
