Newest project, any ideas

Dh just bought this for me. I redid a 64 Airstream about 9 years ago, sold it when we bought a new 5thwheel. I've regretted selling her and don't even have one photo. We got rid of the 5thwheel, so this is my new project, a 1968 Avion. Haven't decided what I'll do to the inside, yet. Dh likes the wood, but it needs to be refininshed. I like shabby chic/romantic. We will be using it for a place for company when visiting.

................Nice trailer ! Probably has torsion axles , you're very blessed cause a trailer that old can have lots of potential roof leaks . If you're going to redo her , I would consider painting the top with EPDM roof coating , it's solid white and really reflects the UV and holds down exteme temps during the summer . I coated my rubber roof on my 5'ver in May of 2012 and it has made a world of difference in keeping the trailer cool during the summer heat . , fordy

Neat! Refinishing the wood shouldn't be too bad if you go back with the blond look. I would bet the retro fabrics are readily available. We need pictures when you're done.

I don't know a thing about torsion axels, but Dh knows that kind of stuff:-) The previous owner said he replaced the floor. But I have learned he probably only replaced the center, so I'll be under the flooring soon. I'd like to put down wood flooring, but maybe there will only room for laminate look alike.
EPDM sounds great, have to look into it. The surface of this year of Avion is anodized, not to be polished up like the Airstreams. But I do need to find out what to wash it with. The inside is fairly clean ,even the white drapes. I have found a place that does awnings in retro colors, so I need to chose a color. The toilet and bath sink is a light yellow. I also need to have or make a matress, the rear matress is 47"x 72". There was a regular one in there, but I threw it out asap, couldn't even walk to the bathroom around it. I will take pics. The airstream I did , was all beautiful walnut inside, I redid everything in leopard (I worked in upholstery many years and custom auto sewing.) It went thru 2 hurricaines in Key West, dh reminds me all the time when I pine away for it. Thanks for the great tips! I do like to see thru others eyes! ps. that fabric on the sofa has to be about the most ugly stuff, but my pup likes it.
