For those around Sevierville,Tn

I was told of a co-op in Sevierville where food grade corn was available.Don't know if it was a food co-op or farmers co-op,but I'm unable to find food grade corn on any co-ops thereabouts.Anybody know anything about this? ETA Food grade corn for grinding is what I'm after.

You can get it at the Washington County Farmers Co-op in Jonesborough, TN, because a guy at the local farmers market orders it in and grinds fresh cornmeal to sell there.

I'd imagine most feed places could get it on request.

If you lived near me I would give you a bag of Hickory King grown last year,I have yet to shell it & have it ground.it makes excellent cornmeal.

You may not live too far away for me to come get it,if you're serious..heck,I'd cheerfully pay for it.Hoping to grow some Hickory King if I can get enough dry weather to work ground and plant.

Not sure about the co-op, but you might try to call or e-mail the Old Mill in Pigeon Forge and see if they might sell you some or know of anyone that would.

If anyone else is interested, the Farmer's Co-op in Sevierville does have food grade corn, both yellow and white.Called this morning, should have done that rather than depend on websites.
