Done for the night

My best friend and I processed our first batch of 2013 chickens tonight. I am pretty darn impressed with the results. All cost, including bedding, feed, and the birds was $158. We ended up with 88.5lbs of finished meat, which equals $1.78 per pound. Can't beat that very easily! Two more batches for the summer and we should have enough to last throughout the year.

A great way to spend your day. How many chickens is that? I'm guessing about 18. What do you do with the organ mea?. It is very good for your dogs and cats.
