Good old fashioned duct tape

I want to get several rolls for my preps but there are so many different brands now I do not know which is the good old fashioned kind I grew up with. I know you could tear it straight and it was pretty heavy. Any guesses?

the gorilla Brand tape Is close to the military 100 mph tape,

most of the cheap stuff is just that CHEAP STUFF.

The mid priced is OK or every day use, if there is not any thing critical or long lasting it is being used for.

I always get either the original Duck brand or 3M. Both work great for the uses that I have for it.

I find all the made in China duct tape does not work well. I look for duct tape made in Canada or USA and it seems to tear straight and sticks like glue!

the gorilla brand is pricey but worth it. the cheep dollar general stuff doesn't hold up worth beans. keep a small piece of plastic sheeting with you and try what ever brand you find, if it sticks to the plastic it should be ok stuff.

I use 3M or Duck brands, and Gorilla tape for things needing extra strength (like holding the leg of my piano together until I get a chance to fix it ) Gorilla tape is really really strong!!

I like Duck brand tape, seems to hold well and last a good long time. For indoors I use Gaffer's tape .It is very strong and is removable if need be . It is cloth based with a glue that leaves little to no residue, yet is very strong.
