Looks like a grakel to me. Also known as starlings. I always thought of them as messy pests, but I didn't think that they were capable of being organised thieves. The article doesn't make it clear about how they are able to get at the coins. Don't most coin machines have a slot that the coins go into? This is amusing, but I'm not sure I believe it.

Grackels are not starlings they are different species

Definitely not a grackle. They have yellow eyes. Looks like a starling to me. Funny story!
