We finally got some rain. Did you ?

The last rainfall we had here was an inch and a half back in December and the last before that was about 2 1/2" in August.

Last night we got a quarter and today an inch. At least thats what the gauge shows, it actually looks to be a bit more and the wind was screaming.

I was watching the system on radar and it looked like it explode when it got to E TX and on into AR, LA, MS and that way.

I swear, my potatoes have jumped 6 inches just today. I wish it would have been a couple inches more, but we are thankful for whatever we get.

And another shot early next week. Anyone else get some that needed it ?

I'm glad to hear it. I know how it feels to go without.

Rains a comin' tomorrow, forecast every day for the next 5 days. I am hoping it heads over where folks need it more. I've lived in dry areas before and it is tough.

Started last night and I expect it will be about an inch or so. Although our need is less that some of you, it has been a very dry three months here.

Raining today...no watering the garden beds...hurray! The water tank is filling up and indoor chores to do.

It was supposed to start raining this afternoon with an expected 1". Instead, we've gotten about 6" of snow so far.

We wish we could get rid of the rain. It seems to rain every day here. It's too wet to do anything outside.

1-1/4" here night before last. It was most welcome as this is the first measurable precipitation so far this year for us. It has danced all around us, but hadn't come to rest until now.

Central Sierra foothills got some, maybe .3", valley got more like 1" - just in time for grass to head up, wildflowers had scant bloom but should be able to set seed now.

Still just a ground dampener, no runoff, no springs raised. Got a look at the high mountains from the valley yesterday and was surprised they were still mostly snow covered, another round of some's got it and some's don't.

Hoping the predictions for more will pan out.

Got about 1.25" the past two days in east Texas. We have been in dire need of rain. I am hoping the hard rain and gusty winds blew all the pollen-making things out of the trees.
