Question How to charge for snow removal?

I know the rate will vary from area to area, but I'm just trying to calculate an idea of the average. I have a 2010 Bobcat S-250 with 2-speed and 8' snow bucket. I have only done a couple snow jobs with it, but didn't really know what to ask an hour. A man asked me the other day what I charge and I said $90. He was surprised with that price, As he does a little part-time removal too. He had asked a couple others around the area, and they were about $75. Me not knowing what to charge, I just did it for the same price as I do dirt work. I know that snow work entails far less wear and tear than the heavy dirt work. I don't wanna scalp anyone, yet I don't wanna be too low either. So, what prices do you charge or get charged in you neck of the woods?

Verify you have insurance for this. Our insurance company sent out a notice this year that they are no longer insuring commercial snow removal. Not an issue for us since we don't. It was a form letter to all policy holders. So watch out, yours could vanish. This was Farm Family.

Our current rates:
Truck/plow $80 per hour
Loader $110 per hour
Sidewalks shovel/blower $45 per hour
We do strictly commercial properties and start moving snow at 1", and return every inch or so.

I haven't looked into insurance yet, but will certainly be necessary if I will do many more jobs.

So far $90 doesn't sound to overboard.

The company I work for charges 85.00 an hour for a skid and a blower.

On route it would be the time it takes to plow, special trip would include travel time( usually 1 hour min.)
