Installing Stove Pipe
I'm installing single wall stove pipe. The stove pipe will run vertically ( 3 1/2 feet) off the top of a wood burning stove to a 90 degree elbow, then horizontally (2 feet) through an insulated wall thimble as it passes through a 2 x 4 wall. The stove pipe will then pass through an 8 inch concrete block and feed into an 8 x 8 vertical clay chimney flue. My question pertains to this part of the installation. My plan is to run a single wall stove pipe section to the leading edge of the vertical clay chimney flue, and secure it in place with furnace cement. Is this the correct way to install this section of stove pipe? Thank you, Johnc
