Dont get bitten by these

Hi all, to any who may be interested, this was shot yesterday after it was spotted eyeing off some kids, a croc of this size can take a horse or Buffalo.
Mrs Scul and I have seen them up to about 23ft. This fella is only about 16ft.
I couldn't find any accurate figures on Croc attacks in Aus but it would probably be 4/6 fatality's a year.
Once these big fella's get hold of you........your dead. The big problem nowdays is the do gooders who have stopped us shooting crocs.
The poor things, they move into a tributary and get chased out by a bigger crocs so they are always looking for a home.
We had a big one camped up in the back yard, I just kept shooting it with a slingshot till it moved out.

Just thought Id share.......Scul

We have a lot of snakes Scul but our little alligators look like chihuahuas next to that thing. Are those the salt water crocs we hear about?

Only when people from Boston talk about them.

They can make you squirrelly, and do chew, but they don't have teeth like that thing.

It's pretty bad when the croc's life is worth more than yours.

The nice thing about living somewhere where you have to deal with below zero temps and several inches of snow in late March is that you NEVER have to worry about running into any reptiles like that. YIKES!

Yep, he be a big "Saltie", he was actually trapped and probably shot in the trap. The problem (read ALL) Crocs are usually relocated, but as I say, If you dont cull them you just keep getting more and more, you can only relocate for so long.
He was loaded by a big back hoe.

There was a family camped about 300ft away from a small creek (to close) a few years back up in the Territory, about 3am there was an horrendous roar and a monster Croc tore straight thru the tent, grabbed a man and started carting him off to the creek.
There was about 10 campers and they all threw themselves on to the Croc and Luckily one chap had a loaded 243 and managed to shoot it dead.
Some of the campers suffered horrific injuries but all lived.

Can you even imagine what a nightmare and how much terror that was ?.

Whenever Mrs Scul and I were camping we always used a rooftop tent on top of the Landcruiser.......and pulled the ladder up.

Just thought Id share.......Scul

Are they good eating? Being in homesteader mode I can't help thinking that would feed quite a few people.

Makes my raccoon problem seem like a walk in the park...

Terrifying. I have no idea why, but I think I'd rather be eaten by a grizzly bear than a crocodile. Weird thought.
