Red face Tropical Drive

Thinking about moving a few hundred miles south (live in Nazi NY), and the old truck is starting to show her age. Wondering what is most common down in Central America and southern Mexico area. If I have to get another vehicle to make the trip, might as well drive something I can get parts for when I get there. Mike

If you buy one you can get parts for it anywhere in the USA or Mexico. You may have to drive to an auto parts store but it is closer than you may think. I only have to drive 27 miles to get to one. I even found parts for a 2013 on the shelf. We are not as backwards as you may think. We may talk slow but we get around to finding parts. You may have to order them but it only takes a day to get them.

No he isn't talking about central US he's talking about Central America as in Panama, El Salvador etc.

Nissan seemed to be the most common trucks when I spent a couple years down in that region not too long ago. Toyotas probably second. Not sure they're the same as the ones sold here but I'd guess most of the parts are interchangeable anyway.

DINO's used to be the bigger rigs down there. IIRC, it stands for Dodge International. If you buy in the US and run it in Mexico do not use cheap fuel.
