Restoring Old Tractors

Thought some of you might be interested in an article in the LA Times (of all places) about the growing collectibility of old tractors. Enjoy:

This got me to thinking. I'm gonna have to take a good look at my FIL's old Ford tractor the next time we visit. He says its a 9N and its all original. However, after looking at some photos and specs for the N series, I'm not sure what it is. It has foot pegs like the 9N, but the paint and wheels like the 8N. Will definitely have to check the serial number Sunday.

49 VAC Case setting at my DDs
and my 1949 WD AC that I gave to my boy setrting here, and my
1934 CC Case of my Grandads, and dads and

I hear ya Husky. Same with mione. The Case dosent have a bit of its origional paint, Or any other for that matter. I wont restore the Cub as, it being a demonstrator, I dont want top lose the ability to procve that it was origionally painted white,.

I restored an old Cub Lowboy years ago... Thankfully it wasn't on my dime.. I'd love to find me an old tractor to restore for myself, but time and money puts that outta the question..
