Apologies for being dumb......but
Hi all, well, I have looked and looked both here and on the net, I have printed out different posts describing how to do it.
I have got to the stage where I could throw this little laptop out the window.
But, I just dont understand how to do it, I know if just one person would show me, Id be right.
Yeah, I know Im getting old and struggle to keep up....But It cant be that hard even tho I never worked a 'puter till a couple of years ago and have taught myself.
So.....HOW DO I POST PICTURES ON HERE ??
This is where Im up to.....
I have got as far as putting a picture on photobucket....Thats it.
I know Im supposed to get the URL (whatever that is) and paste it on "Add Image", but Im afraid I have no idea how to do that.
Can anybody explain in very simple steps please ?
Cheers.......Scul

If you have your picture pulled up in photobucket, it has like 4 different selections to the right side of the picture, one being URL. When you have the picture you want pulled up, left click the mouse button on the URL selection. It usually says "coppied". Then, in the body of the post you are doing on this site, RIGHT click the mouse button and select paste. That oughtta put it there.

I think there is some updating of information needed.
If you have a photo on your computer.
Start a post,
look below it and see MANAGE ATTACHMENTS
then click on on of the bars that has a pulldown arrow beside it - this will take you to browse your computer for the photo. Click on your photo, then lower right of your screen OPEN. (just like attaching in an email).
Then when you've filled in the up to 10 places to browse, do the button on the lower right of that box - upload. After you see them uploaded, close the box.
Then when you come here, if you do preview post, you should see the uploaded photos.
If you like it,
Submit Reply
And now you have the post with photos.
Hope this helps, you and those that said you had to do the photobucket, as that was how before the s/w was upgraded and direct attachments are now allowed.

I'm trying to do this from the pictures stored in my computer. I can copy but it won't paste. What am I doing wrong?

from the ones in your computer, not cut and paste - but do this:

I really appreciate this forum giving us this upload option. Saves me a lot of time uploading a pic to photobucket, getting the image url and then setting it up on a post here...since photobucket changed, hving hard enough just understanding how it works now anyway.
Again, thanks for making placing images here so easy.

Hi Itsb,
Wow, snorkel high water ? thats up to the roof of the cruiser eh. Nup, Id pass at that.
When we prospect its in the desert (mostly). If there is heavy rain coming we get outa there fast. People die here every year by been washed away.
The caravan is supposed to be seal-able for the first 3ft but at $115,000 I have not put it to the test.
Cheers........Scul

...............I've seen several documentries on the '10' snakes in Auzzy that all humans are supposed to stay away from , but , I'm wondering in reality just how many of these snakes do you actually encounter out in the bush when you're prospecting ? , thanks , fordy

G'day Fordy, Yeah, we get lotsa snakes, I think we have about 150 species and then of course lotsa sub species.
Some of these snakes are some of the deadliest in the world.
Death by snake bite in Aus is pretty rare these days with anti venom being readily available (about 5 to 8 deaths a year).
A 10ft snake is pretty big and I have not seen too many of them, however in FNQ (far Nth Queensland) we have snakes up to 20/25 ft. These are known as "Scrub Pythons" and are similar to the Anaconda.
It just depends on where you are and what sort of snake lives there.
I have been living rural in our new place for almost 3yrs now and have seen only 3 snakes.
Hope this answers your question......Cheers...Scul
