Some Pic's from current logging project at my home

Every year I try to log a section of my property, Last year I took a lot of Hemlock and Pine out, since my friends mill is a couple miles up the road and that is what he deals with, Makes Hemlock worth more to take when trucking it is close.

This year I was going to take some more Hemlock and Pine along with Hard and Soft Maple. There is a lot of Blow down from the storm last fall so that is what we are working on now, Then I may get back on course and hit the Maple.

Most of the wood in the Pic's Would not have been taken because of it's smaller size but this is all blow down so it is going.

That is nothing that is just what came out of those Pic's I showed you of the blow down. Last year we removed some Monster Hemlock, but those were trees we were choosing to cut these are mostly trees we need to cut.

That is some nice size wood with a nice heart, I planned to remove stuff like that this year, but now I we are just working on the blow down, May wait till next year to remove what I had planned this year, I am making nice money just on blow down, I only log the property in the winter time.

They are there now, you are using that tractor to skid all of that stuff out? Hope the land is easy to travel on.

This is at my place in Sullivan county.

I couldn't belive it I can pull those. The big ones on the trailer I didn't pull with the tractor. It was next to rd so I pulled them up by rd with mini excavator n called log truck to reach down over bank n bring them to header n load them on trailer best hundred bucks I spent. Most stuff starts out down hill so it's not to bad

I dont see no logs. All I see is big table slabs, cabinets. cabin framing lumber. Woodworking benchs, hand planes ..................

Much as I love maple why don't you tap yours.
