best long handled pruners or loppers???

we would appreciate info on the best quality loppers, or long handled pruners available..not the saw ones, but for snipping off saplings at ground level and other things that grow where we don't want them...long handled so my husband doesn't have to bend over so much, and also so we can reach things just on the other side of the fence..thanks...

Hickok loppers are made in the USA ad they make them up to 36 inches long. http://www.hickokloppers.com/treeloppers.html

They also have really long handles ones from 4-10 feet long. http://www.hickokloppers.com/longarmpruners.html

Fiskars with the gear teeth to increase pressure. Just got in from using them.

My wife likes the fiskars. They do a very good job. These fiskars, with a clever gear-like fulcrum, pack a lot of punch for their size. But because of their design, the handles must really open wide in order to get the jaws around a limb.

I prefer my no-name loppers with long wooden handles over the fiskars. I can get more done in tighter areas with them without sacrificing oomph. I tend to go toe-to-toe with the nasty brambles on the ranch. DW prefers the more lady-like pruning situations, so our tools fit us equally well.

Best? Felco. I've tried them all and Felco are more expensive but worth it, so long you aren't cutting roots with dirt on them- then get Fiskers.
