Pack Horse Equipment Source?

Well, if gas is just gonna keep going up... I've been considering using my horses more! Got two so well trained and nice.... might as well. Ride one and use the other for the pack horse to bring home 'stuff'!

Anyone know of a 'pattern' or ideas to make a pack saddle or if that is something anyone makes anymore? (Buggy to expensive and don't want to teach another one to 'drive' right now)

www.countrysupply.com is a great resource and pretty decently priced.

Outfitters Pack Station

There are indeed pack saddles and gear being made. Lots of companies sell the gear. Here in Oregon, Klamath Falls actually, every first weekend of May theres a packing clinic, 200 +/- vendors show up, small clinics run almost all day maybe on the hour, and raffles, auction and sale items. Try doing a search for horse packing.
