Public apology to haypoint.

In the GMO thread, I took one of haypoint's posts and cut it down. In the quote box, I put:

Quote:

I *thought* that by writing it in third person (using "he is", instead of "I am", which haypoint would have used if he had actually written those exact words) that I was making it clear that those were not haypoint's exact words. I believed that any reader who had been following the thread would know that none of haypoint's posts in the thread had contained those words, and that since it was written in third person, that it was obvious that haypoint was not the author of those exact words. It was not intended to purposefully mislead the reader.

I was mistaken. There were some that believed that it was an actual quote. Therefore, I offer haypoint my apology, and I will not use this sort of dry humor again.

Apology accepted. However, you did not simply cut down one of my posts, you created a fraudulent one, using only words I had never written. Not only were those not my exact words, they were not my words at all. Then, you told me to stop being a jerk. Oh, I see, that is your idea of dry humor?
But I forgive you. I am a believer that an apology has three parts. You say you are sorry, you try to repair the damage and you change the behavior that got you there. I’m going to bed and in the morning this will be behind me. A fresh day awaits.

and now before this turns into anything more,
it will be closed. Rest of the discussion between the two can be done via PM.
