Hard wind. Anybody ever notice

How being out in a hard wind makes you tired when you come inside a warm room??

No kidding, I had to lean into the wind at a 45 degree angle just to get to the house after unloading feed. Wicked wind here.

I hate the wind. I work outside for my job and most people look at me like I am crazy when I say working in the wind makes you tired. It just seems like it beats you around all day. I install residental replacement windows and carrying a window up a ladder in the wind is awful, the window acts like a sail. All day long fighting the wind

We have 60mph winds right now. At that speed, when a snowflake hits you, it stings.

Oh well, beats living in town.

Spent the better part of today working in the garden (dug up the last of the potatoes) and the WIND was relentless; however, it was 60 degrees outside. I just took a bath and am beat. Agree! Working in the wind makes me tired and my eyes are watery from all the debris floating in the air.

If you take the bricks out of you pocket it doesn't make you feel tired. The bricks are to hold you in place when the wind blows.

Yep, wind will wear you out. It will also dehydrate you. I wonder if there is a connection?

It wears me out when I'm out in it. I don't have to come inside before I feel like I've been beat up.

You know, I feel the same way...a nice, unexpected breeze when it's 95 degrees is one thing, but a sustained wind, at ANY temp, will beat you down.

Just like being on a boat all day, the constant small adjustments to counter act the wind/waves adds up to more activity than you would think. You might be getting some noise fatiuge as well if the wind is loud.

It's from using more muscles. Your entire body is acting like a gyroscope to keep everything on an even keel.

That's probably it.
For me, working out in a hard, cold wind also makes me really cold. I'm fine outside while I'm still working, but once I come in, I can't stop shivering.
Guaranteed though, I'll need a nap or early bedtime.

Yes, very strong winds here in TN & even though we've been doing nothing unusual, we're all pooped. I just went to grocery & as usual tried to give myself a good distance to walk--boy did I wish I'd tried for a closer parking spot!
