Gas prices

I payed 2.88 today 12-15-12 per gallon. I feel it is like when a person is dying. They get to feeling real good right before they go.

The thought of $2.88 gas 8 years ago would have had rioting in the streets!!

Nothing like permit and drilling prohibition to soak the little guy.

Wow, we're still paying $3.54!! I try to buy enough groceries at Kroger to get the .10 discount. Not that it's hard to do!

Gas has dropped to $3.19, but diesel is at $4.15.
I don't get it, diesel was less than gasoline for 60 years, now it is a dollar more?

Diesel is high because they HAVE to refine it more to get the sulfur out. When you do something more then before in a process you bet it IS going to raise the price. Because of the introduction of clean diesel, low-sulfur fuel has contributed to a price jump because, according to the Department of Energy’s Energy Information Administration. I believe that went into effect in 2006? Something like that.

Filled up with unleaded for $3.09 this morning, but diesel is still 80 or 90 cents higher. I'd like to fill the big diesel storage tank, but even off road fuel is in the mid $3.50's range per gallon. The off road stuff around here is fully refined/low sulphur now. They just add a dye to make it look different and to catch those trying to use it on the road.

Gas here has dropped to 4 bucks from around 4.40, in oil rich Saskatchewan no less. Frustrating knowing we are getting hosed, pun intended.

Haven't been to the gas pump in over two weeks, anxious to see what the price here is in EA WA tomorrow. Gotta hit the road running to finish the last minute Christmas shopping!

Seymour, you need to get your country to fight more wars for petroleum so you can pay less at the pump. Wait! I'm just joking... No need for fist-a-cuffs!
