Signs Portents and Omens, or how to buy a truck

Ok, went to look at a Chevy S10 pickup today. I have a full size but really need something with better mileage and the old truck has a bad tranny.

A coworker had this S10 for sale. It was her Mothers and Mom is in a nursing home. The proceeds from the truck sale goes directly to the county so she really wasn't concerned about price, it just had to be enough to convince the county that it was legit.

Took it for a test drive. Turned on the radio and it was tuned to my favorite station. There was a cassette in the player so I pushed it in, Johnny Cash sings a Boy Named Sue. This is getting spooky! Drive back and I see an albino squirrel. I've never seen one before. Get back, and agree to a really good price. She needs a check so I drive to town to get a cashiers check. They won't give me one because I don't have an account (WTH?). Bad sign? I wonder. Call seller and she has an account with the bank. She comes in to buy the check, she just happens to bring the title with her, and the Registrars office just happens to be in the bank! So I get it all done at once. Bought the truck, walked across the room, and got the title transferred. Did I mention that I got a really good price?

I really try not to be superstitious but sometimes I wonder.................

Well I think you should have sealed the deal by having a beer and throwing a pinch of salt over your shoulder just to make sure.

Signs Portents and Omens

Well I was gunna recommend this fellow who's been batting a thousand here lately, but if you have already bought it,you could contact him and ask him is your new truck gunna hold up?If not he may can concoct some kind of witches brew to make your truck brand new again.
If you do happen to contact this gentleman,do me a favor,Please ask him if he's got any spells or concoctions that can reverse things.Like suppose something happened a couple of weeks ago.Can it reverse that....

I was once heartbroken about having one road block after another on a house we wanted to buy. The final straw was that the bank would have required super expensive flood insurance, about $2,000 a year, even though it hadn't flooded for over 100 years.

I spent weeks and months feeling bummed out each time I drove by the house.

Then, our town got hit with a 1,000 year flood, and when the road reopened, I drove by and saw them brooming water out of the first floor.

Sometimes those omens and roadblocks work the other way to protect you!!!!

The topper would be: you are both single, she is sexy, you asked her out, she said yes-----BUT THAT IS REALLY PRESSING THE SPOOKY THING.

Well, she IS good looking. I work with her so this is the kind of thing I would notice. Of course neither one of us is single. I guess that the topper would be that the truck has a ................topper!
