I would like to wish each veteran a good day today, and a wish that no bad memories creep in. To all the waiting spouses and family members who had to wait at home and worry each moment, a good day for you also. I know it has been a long time for me and time begins to fade about things, but I know I was married and that is not a good thing for the wife to be waiting and worrying at home. Thanks to each who have served in the past, present and in the future!

DH had an unusual Veteran's day salute.

He got mooned on the interstate! Driving along in the outside lane, looked to the left when a car passed him and there IT was in all it's hairy glory hanging out the passenger side window. He tooted the car horn at them in response and the passenger, his.....ummm....gluteus maximus now back in the car gave him a wave and a thumbs up as they sped down the road.

My husband got a good laugh out of it. He served in Korea in the ASA during the Nam era.

I hope you all remembered to hug your favorite veteran today. We owe them our freedom.
